Do it yourself

I usually get bored of my wardrobe and I'm sure I'm not the only one. That's why lately I found a new hobby: reinventing my old clothes. I already cuted all my (and my friend's) t-shirts, placed some caps on a old jeans vest and sewed some big shoulders on a simple blouse. So, it's time for something more creative. And I found this. Not very complicated, but interesting. I think I could replace the nude lace with a black or any other color of lace on a hand, and maybe to mix it (on the other hand) with cotton... Hmm, I hope I'll have time in the weekend to rework a jacket jeans like this. Until now, I'll show it how it's made, maybe you'll find your inner taylor attitude :)). Enjoy!

Mixed looks

Subject: my favorite looks for this week. Cast: celebrities. Bonus: a few tips related to the pictures I numbered from 1 to 4. Enjoy!
1. For this spring I will surely love the all-white outfit; in this case, the mix of flares, a simple t-shirt and a glam vest brings a vintage and hippie allure, so characteristic to Erin Wasson.
2. The masculine oversized coat worn with leggings is a fashionable substitute of a dress. Choose,(like Irina Lazareanu did),a sequin long blazer and some leggings with leather details.
3. I looove this Chloe pants combined with a simple t-shirt and a leather jacket!Because the print of the pants is pretty strong, this mix I find it the best and "sure" choice. In the same combiantion, you can replace the animal print pants with some flower print pants or a short printed skirt.
4. For the full-hearted, try a complete look in leather. Leather is on the catwalk for this season, so a pair of shorts or a skirt is a must. If you are not brave enough for a complete look, then combine leather pieces with t-shirts or silk blouses and overlap a leather corset with a t-shirt.

I love shopping trips

Preparing the new issue of Bolero Magazine, I remembered about a nice article I wrote when I was in Vienna. With the help of the Embassy of Austria and guided by a very cool stylist from there, Stefanie Lingg, I enjoyed a full day of shopping there. I walked on the 7th District, a cool area with designer shops, I noted all the interesting tips that Stefanie told me and met very nice young designers. Also, I didn't ignored the stylish people I saw on the streets... Enjoy the full articles that appeared on the January 2010 issue.. And right now, I'm writing about shooping in Istanbul... A source of shopping... and inspiration

I could say that for aprox. one year I am following this wonderful on-line shopping site. And from my own experience I tell you.. If you find the prices too spicy, at least take a look on the collections because you will find some interesting and fancy outfit combinations. Not just a simple photo...

Irving Penn (1917–2009) was one of the great photographers of our time. He photographed an extraordinary range of sitters from the worlds of literature, music and the visual and performing arts. Istanbul Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2010

I was thinking what to choose for my first post, and the first thing that came into my mind was Istanbul Fashion Week 2010. Thanks to the Turkey Embassy and the organizers, I've had the chance to participate for the second time. This time I could stay just for one day (the entire event lasted 4 days), but enough time to make some new fashionable contacts, some pictures and, of course, to enjoy a full day of designer shows. So, let's get on the catwalk!
